Privately owned seats, available to you

Our business, reselling tickets for performances at the Royal Albert Hall begins with a moment in history. To help fund the construction of the Royal Albert Hall during the 1860s, a unique opportunity was devised. Seats within the Hall were sold to individuals, granting rights to these private owners (members) to attend shows or to legally resell their seats to others, should they not wish to attend a performance themselves.

Today there are just over 300 private seats still owned within the Royal Albert Hall, some of which have been passed through the generations. Our one of a kind platform connects you directly with access to those tickets, not otherwise released to the general public.

All of our listed tickets are never sold at more than the face value of the ticket and the only additional fee you will be charged is our booking fee (maximum 15%), allowing you to enjoy popular performances at the Royal Albert Hall, safe in the knowledge that your tickets are of great value and from a trusted source.

What We Do

Here at Hoorah Tickets, we act as a platform for official Seat Holders (Members) of the Royal Albert Hall to sell their unwanted tickets. The tickets you see on our site are not purchased from the Royal Albert Hall box office, they are privately owned by the seat holders and are legally allowed to be sold onwards.

We can supply a range of options from single tickets to large groups in the stalls, through to a private Grand Tier Box. All of our prices include our booking fee, there are no other charges or hidden fees. The price you see is the price you pay. You will never pay more than the face value of the ticket plus a maximum of a 15% booking fee. Please check from time to time for discounted tickets.

Be part of the magic of the Royal Albert Hall

As a leading arts venue in the UK, the Royal Albert Hall hosts a special and varied performance programme throughout the year. Highlights include world-famous series like the BBC Proms during the summer, regular appearances by leading orchestras, pop and rock concerts by international artists, ballet productions and unique shows ranging from film showings accompanied by a live orchestra, to world music and gospel experiences.

The venue also stages annual charity events like the Teenage Cancer Trust concerts and prestigious galas such as the Royal Variety Performance, making it a year round destination for music, dance and live entertainment.

Over a Decade of Trusted Service

We have sold Royal Albert Hall tickets on behalf of private members for over 10 years. In 2019 we decided to create a website to allow our customers to purchase their tickets safely, securely and with the option of choosing their seats from a wide selection of options. Unlike other ticket sites, we do not offer the resale of tickets purchased from the Royal Albert Hall and our unique approach allows us to offer a personal and reliable service.

A Personal, Family-Run Service You Can Trust

Far from a faceless ticket reseller, or a bot-based enterprise, we are a family run business based in Norfolk, UK and we pride ourselves on giving the best possible experience for our customers. We never harvest tickets or act as touts, we only sell tickets supplied by members of the RAH. Get in contact if you’re unsure about anything, we’re always happy to answer any questions you may have.

The history of private member seats

The concept of private seat and box holders at the Royal Albert Hall was devised to financially support the construction of the venue prior to its opening by Queen Victoria in 1871. In exchange for their initial investment in the late 1800s (estimated to be around £100), members were granted the rights to use or access their seats for the term of the Hall’s 999-year lease.
Nowadays just over 1,200 seats of the Hall’s 5,272 capacity remain in the private ownership of charities, businesses and families. Some seats have been passed down through the generations.

Your chance to attend sold-out shows

Today, seat holders are able to attend up to two thirds of the performances in the hall during any 12 month period and should they be unable to attend, they are legally entitled to sell their seats. This offers opportunity for others to attend hard to get or publicly sold out performances, and prevents empty seats at the venue that could otherwise be filled with fans.

“As a self-proclaimed lover of the arts, I have always enjoyed visiting the Royal Albert Hall but I’ve sometime been unable to get tickets or struggled to be in the best location. After a friend recommended David earlier this year, I have now used his services a few time, each of which I have been very impressed with his speed of response, friendliness and quality of the seats. I would not hesitate to recommend him and will continue to use him myself”

“We found tickets through Hoorah for an otherwise sold out concert and couldn’t believe our luck; especially on face value. David is so helpful and quick to reply with any questions you may have and our tickets were sent to us as soon as possible. Brilliant service – thank you David!”

Olwen

“Ordered from this website yesterday. Bought tickets for the Harry Potter Half Blood Prince orchestra event in October. Prompt email reply after payment, and tickets arrived via email early today. Thank you David excellent service, and I paid less than the face value. Definitely use again.”
